Plant breeding using robotics and AI for advanced data analysis and decision making in virtual spaces

The project "PORTAL - Plant breeding using robotics and AI for advanced data analysis and decision making in virtual spaces " will extend and bring together state-of-the-art technologies from the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics and Virtual Reality (VR) to create a significant, disruptive advancement for plant breeding as an important part of agriculture. This will enable plant breeders for the first time ever to revisit and inspect field plots, independently of time and space, in a virtual and augmented environment: the virtual plant breeding nursery.
