DFKI and RPTU launch interactive AI Advent calendar for students

| Learning & Education | Data Science and its Applications

The German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) and the Rhineland-Palatinate Technical University of Kaiserslautern-Landau (RPTU) have jointly launched a wintry educational project: the digital AI Advent calendar. The aim is to get young people from year 10 and up excited about the topics of artificial intelligence and technology in a fun and interactive way.

From 1 to 24 December, a virtual door will open daily, revealing exciting content, playful tasks and inspiring learning opportunities. The content ranges from basic concepts of AI to challenging problem solving designed to foster curiosity and creativity. Participation is particularly worthwhile: in addition to a deeper understanding of the world of AI, attractive technology prizes await students.

Education for the future

The AI Advent Calendar not only sparks interest in a forward-looking topic, but also makes an important contribution to promoting media literacy in an increasingly digitalised world. The aim is to encourage schoolchildren to actively engage with the possibilities and challenges of AI and to develop creative solutions.

Get involved and support the project now

To support the AI Advent Calendar and make it grant access to as many students as possible, the project team is happy to get in contact with you. Companies and private individuals can, for example, sponsor prizes or enter into media partnerships. Interested parties can contact Prof. Sebastian Vollmer directly to offer their ideas, suggestions or support.

The digital advent calendar shows how science and education come together to prepare the next generation for the challenges and opportunities of the future. Together, we are shaping the future – and more importantly: the future of our children.

More information and the registration form can be found on the official website: ki-adventskalender.de.
