Gesche Joost elected new president of the Goethe-Institut

The Goethe-Institut has announced that Prof. Dr. Gesche Joost will be the new president of the institute. She will take office on November 19, 2024, succeeding Prof. Dr. Carola Lentz.

Prof. Dr. Gesche Joost heads the Design Research Lab at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) and the Design Research eXplorations (DRX) research area at DFKI in Berlin. It explores intelligent technologies from a design perspective, actively contributes to sustainable transformation processes through material interaction, wearable computing and community engagement, and pursues the goal of enabling people to participate in the digital society.
