UPLINX Machine Learning School (MLS)
From 9 to 11 October 2019 the UPLINX Machine Learning School (MLS) will take place at DFKI Saarbrücken. The three-day event, limited to 50 participants, offers lectures and hands-on group exercises on selected methods of machine learning. With a focus on deep learning, applications from various areas such as gesture and error recognition, motion synthesis and safe autonomous driving for pedestrians will be presented and developed in English.
The UPLINX Machine Learning School is mainly addressed to students (Master, PhD) and postdocs in computer science with general knowledge of AI.

The Machine Learning School is organized by the DFKI Research Departments Cognitive Assistance Systems (COS) and Agents and Simulated Reality (ASR) in Saarbrücken.

UPLINX Workshop on “Machine Learning in Industry” (MLI)
The UPLINX Machine Learning in Industry (MLI) Workshop will take place at DFKI Kaiserslautern from 21-22 October 2019. The event is primarily aimed at managers and technical staff, and others, who are interested in concrete applications of machine learning methods in industry.
The two-day workshop will offer four invited presentations on the use of ML methods for implemented applications in companies from very different industrial sectors such as robotics, life sciences, and manufacturing. The MLI workshop will give a high-level overview of existing processes, their capabilities and also the opportunity to experience them for yourself using simple examples in some hands-on session.
