The Week of AI is designed by everyone for everyone.

Lübeck: The colourful programme for the AI Week in Lübeck offers events around the topics of everyday AI, business AI, AI minds and also AI in medicine. It ranges from hands-on events for students to exciting exhibitions and guided tours, from political discussions on ethical and legal issues as well as economic tips on the use of AI, including for your own start-up, to scientific lectures and festive evening events including award ceremonies. The programme is available online at https://woche-der-ki.de.

Varied programme

To get into conversation with each other and make artificial intelligence tangible, this year there will be a large exhibition with robots, VR glasses, AI-controlled models etc. at the Karstadt-Haus Lübeck (Königsstraße 54-56, 23552 Lübeck) on 8 November. In addition, for example, a two-day hackathon will start on 10 November, which this year will also offer childcare. Because the Week of AI is designed by everyone for everyone - including parents. All programme points are free of charge, many are public and accessible without registration.

The university city of Lübeck has already been a center for research and innovation in artificial intelligence for medicine and medical technology for several years and offers the best conditions with interdisciplinary research methods at the Hanse Innovation Campus (HIC). In addition to the University of Lübeck, the HIC includes the Lübeck University of Technology, the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) and the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Individualised and Cell-based Medical Technology. Research ideas in the field of artificial intelligence often give rise to spin-offs, which in turn contribute to the growing economic strength of the location and have already developed the Hanseatic city into a northern German Center for artificial intelligence.
