One of the most important functions of fenestration systems, which triggers user modification of the facade, is the protection from daylight glare. State-of-the-art glare evaluation techniques require expert consultation and are computationally expensive. This project, funded by the Velux Stiftung, will develop an innovative, computationally efficient simulation engine in order to unlock the integration of glare risk assessments in the design process of buildings.
