Dr. André Meyer-Vitali (top left), CERTAIN Principal Investigator, DFKI, at the OECD event on Trusted AI on February 7, 2025.

The Hiroshima Process was initiated at the G7 Summit 2023 in Japan. The OECD took the lead in developing a tool to help organizations monitor their compliance with the “Hiroshima Process International Code of Conduct for Organizations Developing Advanced AI Systems”.

The tool was developed by an international consortium with the participation of DFKI and has been publicly available since February 7.

Dr. André Meyer-Vitali, DFKI, Scientific Director of CERTAIN (Centre for European Research in Trusted Artificial Intelligence): “It was a pleasure to participate in the development, testing, and now the official opening of the Hiroshima AI Process Reporting Framework (HAIP)”.

The OECD invites organizations to submit their first reports by 15 April 2025. The reports can be updated annually.
