Project | FUSE

Duration:

Future Smart Energy

FUSE explores and demonstrates the application of technologies based on artificial Intelligence to increase the resilience and stability of the future energy grid and support the incorporation of an increasing percentage of renewable energy sources. The future energy grid will have a cellular structure with various different assets in the cells monitored and controlled by smart information and communication technology to balance local production and consumption, to control bidirectional energy flows between and within grid-cells, and to minimize system failures, a hierarchical data-flow architecture using artificial intelligence for distributed data processing is developed.
