Prof Kristian Kersting is a Fellow of the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association

Prof Kristian Kersting was elected a Fellow by the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association (AAIA). The award recognises his outstanding contributions to the foundations and applications of statistical relational artificial intelligence and neurosymbolic learning.

Kersting is head of the Foundations of Systems AI (SAINT) research department at DFKI in Darmstadt, is a founding member and co-director of the Hessian Centre for Artificial Intelligence (hessian.ai) and also Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at TU Darmstadt. He is a member of the Centre for Cognitive Science and a lecturer at the ELLIS Unit Darmstadt.

The AAIA is a non-profit and non-governmental organization established in Hong Kong in 2021. The main mission of the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association is to empower scientists in the field of Artificial Intelligence and other fields worldwide to promote the development and application of Artificial Intelligence through academic research, academic exchange, scientific education, scientific exhibitions, academic conferences, academic publications, summer/winter camps and other activities.
