Under the motto “Experience. Marvel. Understand.”, the Senator for Environment, Climate and Science, the Haus der Wissenschaft and over 55 scientific institutions invite you to discover the fascinating world of research right in the heart of the city. The DFKI Bremen is taking part in the event with a selfie corner featuring the robot Charlie and a hands-on NAO robot, and can be found at the U Bremen Research Alliance (UBRA) stand in Pagodenstadt. In addition, the Bremen-based webcomic “Nœrdman – the nerd from the north” will be presented at the Haus der Wissenschaft.

The Science Day brings the full diversity of science in Bremen and Bremerhaven right into the heart of the city. The varied programme, featuring interactive hands-on activities, exciting experiments, engaging talks and numerous exhibits and information stands, has something for everyone – whether young or old, with or without prior knowledge. All activities are free of charge.

The aim is to make science accessible and engaging, to strengthen the dialogue between research and society, and to showcase Bremen’s innovative strength and forward-looking approach.

The events and activities will take place at central locations: on the Domshof, on the stage at Open Space Domshof, at the Haus der Wissenschaft and in the Ticket Hall (Kassenhalle) of the Forum am Domshof. This makes science accessible to everyone – right in the heart of Bremen city centre. The programme for the Science Day can be found on the Haus der Wissenschaft website.
