Zusammenfassung
Accurate measurement of muscle activity is essential for biomedical engineering, rehabilitation, and prosthetic
development. This study investigates the use of High-Density
Electromyography (HD-EMG) to validate in the future a novel
THz-based epidermal electronic system. HD-EMG, known for
its high resolution and detailed muscle activity analysis, was employed on the Musculus flexor carpi radialis to detect innervation
zones. The experimental setup included isometric contractions
at 30 % and 60 % maximum voluntary contraction (MVC),
recorded using HD-EMG grids. Results showed consistent 180-
degree phase shifts between specific channels, indicating the
presence of innervation zones. These findings support HD-EMG
as a reliable ground truth for validating advanced epidermal
electronic systems. Future research should involve a larger and
more diverse sample and explore additional features of muscle
activity, including the observation of zero lines and various MVC
levels.
