The All Hands Meeting was attended by the German competence centers BIFOLD, Lamarr Institute, MCML, ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig, and Tübingen AI Center, as well as the French centers 3IA Côte d'Azur, ANITI, DATAIA, ENACT, PostGen@Paris, PR[AI]RIE-PSAI, SEQUOIA, and the national computer science institute Inria.
In his speech, Krüger addressed, among other things, the central role of European cooperation in the field of AI. He thanked the French computer science institute Inria and the French AI clusters for their presence. "AI is increasingly becoming a central operating system for the economy and society. Designing it in such a way that we can rely on it as we do on electronic calculators is a major challenge, but also a great opportunity for Germany, France, and the European Union," said Krüger. Only through close cooperation between Germany and France can the ongoing structural change in AI in terms of AI models and infrastructure on our continent be accomplished. Within Germany, the established network of competence centers should be leveraged to implement the AI-related aspects of the German federal government's High-Tech Agenda.
