The EU-funded CORTEX2 project is investing €3,000,000 in its first open call to investigate, advance and demonstrate the technical features offered by its extended reality (XR) platform— aimed at facilitating remote collaboration between workers across a wide range of industries and in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

CORTEX2 Open Call #1 beneficiaries will receive up to € 200,000, tailored coaching and monitoring, access to technology and business experts, capacity building on the CORTEX2 platform and XR, and exploitation support during a programme of up to 12 months.

The teams interested in joining CORTEX2’s journey can apply to its first open call to 16 January 2024 (17:00 CET) to be eligible to receive the support they need to develop their solutions in the field of XR: https://cortex2.eu/open-calls/open-call-1/.

Through its Open Call #1, CORTEX2 will support 20 projects consisting of diverse XR innovators — from tech startups/SMEs to research-oriented organisations —, involving them in the ‘Lab-To-Market’ stage to help bridge the Open Innovation gap. These will contribute to co-developing the CORTEX2 XR remote cooperation solution, an innovative digital workplace that integrates new use cases to demonstrate replicability in different areas.

Further information can be found in this flyer and on the CORTEX website.
