The joint event organized by ASCS (Automotive Solution Center for Simulation e.V.) and DFKI focuses on the next stage of engineering evolution: the intelligent integration of simulation, data, and AI into end-to-end, learning-based development processes.
While traditional engineering approaches are often sequential and iterative, data-driven methods enable a fundamental shift: designs are no longer merely validated but are continuously optimized, automatically generated, and further developed based on data.
The combination of physics-based simulation and AI opens new possibilities—from accelerating complex analyses and using surrogate models to continuous optimization in closed-loop engineering.
At the same time, many companies face challenges: limited tool interoperability, insufficient integration of AI into existing processes, a lack of standards, and a lack of trust in AI results. As a result, many promising proofs of concept remain outside practical application.
The forum therefore addresses the entire spectrum of modern development requirements for on-road and off-road vehicles—from the automotive industry through transportation, agriculture, and construction machinery to specialty vehicles and mobile robotics. Topics include CAE-supported development as well as virtual validation and certification processes for automated and software-defined vehicles and mobile machines.
