KOGNIWERT is a preliminary scientific study designed to analyze the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital assistance systems for cognitive value creation in production-related work and business processes. Against the backdrop of a shortage of skilled workers, increasing demands for innovation, and the ongoing digital transformation, the project examines how AI-based technologies are changing the collaboration between humans and technology and how they can support companies in process automation and decision support.
The project’s goal is to analyze the potential, challenges, and impacts of using cognitive technologies from an interdisciplinary perspective and to derive practical future scenarios and recommendations for action. The project is based on qualitative interviews with practitioners, which are evaluated according to the six perspectives of the “Zukunft der Wertschöpfung” research program. The results are intended to support businesses, as well as academia, policymakers, and society, in shaping the use of AI in value creation in a sustainable and human-centered manner.
