Abstract

Radar sensors are widely used in the industry for navigation, collision avoidance, and safety in vehicles such as Au- tomated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs). However, their performance is limited on the one hand by the Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) frequency bands and on the other hand due to self-inference in scenarios with increased density. The current development in the context of 6th; generation mobile network (6G) offers new possibilities with potential new frequency bands in the radar range. In this paper, a potential 6G with Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) that uses Passive Coherent Location (PCL) to detect objects is investigated. A channel model based on a 3D environment is developed, and an Orthogonal Time Frequency Space (OTFS) transmission is simulated, subsequently used for passive radar. The results show promising applications of 6G with ISAC in industrial automation.
