Zusammenfassung
Biometrics are distinguished into physiological, biological and behavioural features of human beings. Their inherently given und unchangeable information -each associated with strength and weaknesses- are particularly suitable for the process of human authentication. Moreover, biometrics are (often) cryptographically stronger than traditional authentication because they contain significantly more information. Modern approaches turn biometric methods attractive again and become a current field of research:
