DFKI Bremen to host the 49th German Conference on Artificial Intelligence

| Cyber-Physical Systems | Robotics Innovation Center | Bremen

From August 11–14, 2026, the 49th German Conference on Artificial Intelligence (KI2026) will take place in Bremen. The established European conference brings together researchers from all areas of Artificial Intelligence and provides a platform for discussing current research results, trends, and applications.

DFKI and the Artificial Intelligence Department of the German Informatics Society (GI) are jointly organizing KI2026. The main conference will take place at the premises of DFKI and the University of Bremen.

The conference program will feature scientific talks, workshops, tutorials, poster sessions, and high-profile international keynote presentations. Another focus will be on strengthening the connection between research and practice: The “Industry Day”, organized by the Bremen Chamber of Commerce (IHK), will promote networking between companies, researchers, and international AI experts.

KI2026 will also mark the beginning of an extraordinary AI summer in Bremen: Immediately afterwards, IJCAI-ECAI 2026, one of the world’s leading conferences in Artificial Intelligence, will take place. This will make Bremen an international meeting point for AI research in August 2026.
