New AI infrastructure for industrial value creation in Germany – Prof. Antonio Krüger on the Telekom podcast “Vernetzt”

| Industry 4.0 | Saarbrücken

Prof. Antonio Krüger was a guest on the Telekom podcast “Vernetzt,” where he spoke about the launch of Telekom’s AI Factory in Munich. He described the opening as very good news for research, as well as for Germany and Europe as a whole. As a major manufacturing hub, Germany possesses vast amounts of industrial data that could increasingly be used for AI applications in the future with the help of the new computing infrastructure.

Krüger emphasized that AI could transform and optimize entire production processes in the years ahead. With regard to European digital sovereignty, he explained that sovereignty in a globalized world should not be confused with complete autonomy. Rather, the goal is to create freedom of choice and avoid dependence on individual partners. Companies also regard their data as valuable corporate assets and therefore seek secure data solutions. Against this backdrop, he argued, that it makes sense to establish alternatives such as the AI factory in Munich within Europe’s own legal framework.
