DFKI and the NII had already reached an agreement in 2016 for the mutual exchange of scientists. Prof. Dr. Emmanuel Planas, head of the Global Liaison Office at the NII, presented the opportunities for a research stay in Tokyo on June 30, 2022.
The Global Liaison Office offers exchange opportunities in many areas of computer science, with a focus on user interfaces and assistance systems. The duration of a research stay at the NII can range from two – e.g., for researchers already established professionally – to six months for students.
