Smart living study published: From gadgets to integrated service offerings

| Press release | Smart Home & Assisted Living | Autonomous Systems | Data Management & Analysis | Sensors & Networks | Smart Enterprise Engineering | Osnabrück / Oldenburg

As part of the "ForeSight" project, DFKI interviewed companies that could play a role in a smart living ecosystem. Among them were companies from the housing industry, software companies and hardware manufacturers. Together with the DFKI spin-off Strategion GmbH, the "Smart Enterprise Engineering" research department examined the status-quo in the industry when it comes to developing smart living offerings and shed light on the requirements that need to be taken into account for so-called Smart Service Engineering. Organizations are still finding it difficult to design integrated offerings and to exploit the resulting value through new business models. The study is now available for download.
