A company's success with artificial intelligence (AI) relies not just on technology, but also on knowledge and training. Beyond basic technical understanding, companies must be able to evaluate and leverage AI's strengths and limitations (such as pattern recognition, prediction, and speech or facial recognition) to meet their specific needs. It's also important to encourage employee involvement in how AI is used at work.
The AI Knowledge and Training Center (KIWW) will create an online, nationwide knowledge platform about human-centered AI and its practical use in companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). KIWW aims to advance human-centered AI by fostering employee participation and co-creation, supporting regional Future Centers and the Center for Digital Work, and providing insights for the Federal Ministry for Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) and the German Observatory on Artificial Intelligence in Work and Society (AI Observatory).
