Laufzeit:

GenAI4EU Nexus

The GenAI4EU Nexus Coordination and Support Action officially started on 1 May and will establish a European hub for trustworthy generative AI—a single entry point linking research, industry, SMEs and the public sector. The project will run for three years. By combining an open observatory, sector-driven collaboration and connections to key EU AI initiatives, it will help turn fragmented efforts into coordinated uptake while supporting innovation, policy alignment, trust and compliance. Expected results include a stronger “AI made in Europe” presence, practical tools and roadmaps, and enhanced support for high-potential solutions. Overall, the initiative aims to accelerate responsible AI adoption, strengthen Europe’s competitiveness, improve SME access, and build a lasting, community-driven ecosystem. The project is co-coordinated by DFKI together with Adra. Across the project timeline, the research departments ASR and SLT jointly play a central role in shaping mapping and foresight activities, driving policy alignment and sustainability planning, and advancing the strategic roadmapping work feeding into the SRIDA.
